Intern position (Public Diplomacy Section)

The U.S. Consulate General in Almaty is seeking individuals for an Intern position in its Public Diplomacy Section. The purpose of the Student Intern Program is to offer local students accepted into the program the unique opportunity of experiencing a foreign affairs work environment.

Requirements

• 1Must be at least 18 years old and must be enrolled not less than half-time in a higher education institution or other accredited undergraduate educational institution
• 2Must have a good academic standing and permission to participate in the program from the educational institution.
• 3Should have Level III (good working knowledge) of English and Level III (good working knowledge) of Russian and Kazakh
• 4Should have skills in written and oral communication, office software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), professional research and written analysis. Should be able to take initiative and complete assigned tasks with accuracy and little supervision
